The price of VST Tillers Tractors (VST) has jumped significantly, reaching ₹6,225 on Tuesday, representing a 3% increase. This is a new high for the stock, surpassing the previous record of ₹6,199.85 set on November 3, 2025. While the overall BSE Sensex was down, VST’s performance shows strong growth potential.

Key Points

  • VST’s stock rose 70% in six months, outperforming the Sensex.
  • The company’s revenue increased by 27% to ₹598 crore in H1FY26.
  • EBITDA improved by 70% to ₹78.7 crore.
  • Domestic tractor sales are growing, with a 10% increase.
  • Demand for power weeders is soaring, up 42% this year.
  • India’s tractor market is expected to exceed 1 million units by FY2025-26.

Several factors are driving this growth. VST is the biggest maker of tillers in India, and they also create 4WD compact tractors and other farm equipment. Importantly, they sell their products to countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa.

In the first half of the current financial year (April to September 2025), VST achieved a record turnover of ₹598 crore, a substantial increase from the ₹474 crore recorded in the same period last year. This improvement is also reflected in their operational EBITDA, which rose to ₹78.7 crore compared to ₹51.2 crore.

What’s fueling this success? VST is seeing a comeback in the tractor market, growing by 10% domestically. Their power weeder sales are growing quickly, up 42% this year, and the company expects this trend to continue. This growth is tied to a bigger trend in India – more farmers are buying tractors to help them grow crops.

India is now expected to sell over a million tractors by 2025-26. This is happening because of better weather, more farmers using tractors, and farmers trying to modernize their farms. Government programs also help encourage farmers to use machinery.

A large number of Indian farmers – over 86% – are small and have small farms (less than 2 hectares). This means there’s a big demand for affordable, easy-to-use tractors and farm equipment. VST’s products are perfect for this situation, helping farmers work more efficiently and sustainably.

In November 2025, domestic tractor sales jumped 19%, thanks to strong growth from companies like Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), VST (40%), and Escorts (11%). The Axis Securities brokerage firm observed a 35% year-on-year (YoY) increase in volume for the tractor segment, though month-over-month (MoM) growth was 40%. Favourable monsoons and high reservoir levels further boosted demand, with VST’s total volume increasing by 146% YoY.

The future of VST Tillers Tractors hinges on continued momentum in a growing Indian agricultural market.
