Project Details

The specific task is to construct a section of the Thane Metro, focusing on an elevated track network. This network stretches 20.527 kilometers, linking the underground ramp with Balkum Naka and including a depot approach viaduct, along with three special spans beneath the Thane Integral Ring Metro Project. The overall investment is estimated at Rs 1,424 crore.

The construction will be handled under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreement. EPC means that H.G. Infra Engineering and Kalpataru Projects International will be completely responsible for the design, building, and upkeep of the metro section.

Kalpataru Projects International is a well-known company that specializes in building large infrastructure projects – think power lines, roads, buildings, and even water systems. H.G. Infra Engineering is specifically focused on road infrastructure projects here in India.

Following the announcement, the stock price of H.G. Infra Engineering increased by 0.05% to close at Rs 863.90, while Kalpataru Projects International gained 0.34% to end at Rs 1,228 on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange).
