Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Projects Analyzed

Sterling & Wilson, a company building solar power plants, has won several big projects recently. They’ve been chosen to build two large solar farms in India and one in South Africa. These projects will help generate clean energy, and they show strong growth for the company.

Key Points

  • Three major solar projects awarded to Sterling & Wilson.
  • India projects: 363 MWp Rajasthan & 580 MWp Uttar Pradesh.
  • South Africa project: 115 MWp, valued at $120 million.
  • Total EPC value: approximately ₹1,772 crore (India projects).
  • Overall order inflows this year: already exceeded ₹3,775 crore.

India Projects Breakdown

Two of the projects are located within India. The first is a 363 megawatt peak (MWp) solar plant in Rajasthan. This is a significant investment in renewable energy for the region.

The second Indian project is a 580 MWp plant in Uttar Pradesh. Both projects are ‘BOS’ – meaning Sterling & Wilson will handle the design, construction, and equipment, but not the power generation itself.

South Africa Project

Beyond India, Sterling & Wilson has also secured a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a 115 MWp solar plant in South Africa. This project is valued at roughly $120 million.

Financial Impact

The total value of these three projects – including the Indian ones – is around ₹1,772 crore. This means that the company has already earned over ₹3,775 crore in orders during this current financial year.

“These wins highlight Sterling & Wilson’s leadership in the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.”
