Shakti Pumps (India) has been awarded a big new job by the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam. They’ll be installing over 4,800 solar-powered water pumps across the entire state of Madhya Pradesh. Project Details
The pumps themselves are called “Stand-alone Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems” (SPWPS). This means they don’t need to be connected to the electricity grid. They’re powered entirely by sunlight, making them a good choice for farms that aren’t close to power lines.
Financial Information
The entire project costs about 170.25 crore rupees, including the tax (GST). Shakti Pumps has 120 days to get all the pumps installed and ready to use. This is a significant investment in solar technology for agriculture.
