NCL Industries’ Performance Analyzed
NCL Industries had a mixed quarter in Q3 of FY26. They increased their overall cement production and sales, but some of their other products didn’t do as well. This report looks at the key numbers and what they mean for the company’s future.
Key Points
- Cement production rose 5% to 6.948 million tonnes.
- Cement sales increased by 5% to 6.932 million tonnes.
- Cement board production fell sharply by 41% year-on-year.
- Ready-mix concrete production dropped 18% compared to last year.
- Door sales plummeted 75% – a significant negative trend.
- Net profit jumped significantly, driven by cement sales growth.
Cement Performance
The good news is that NCL Industries increased the amount of cement they made. They produced 6,94,854 metric tons of cement, which is 5% more than last year’s 6,61,049 metric tons. They also shipped out 6,93,229 metric tons of cement – another 5% increase.
Other Product Results
However, things weren’t so positive for all their products. Their cement boards saw a big drop in production, falling by 41% compared to the previous year. They created just 11,907 metric tons of cement boards. Similarly, ready-mix concrete sales decreased by 18%, producing only 65,939 cubic meters.
Door Sales – A Major Concern
The biggest problem was with their doors. They sold a tiny 42 doors – a massive drop from the 8,680 doors they sold in the same period last year. This indicates a significant decline in demand for their doors, requiring urgent attention.
Energy Production
The Hydro Power division had a small positive increase, producing 17.00 megawatt-hours (MU) of energy, up 2% compared to the previous year. This contributed marginally to the company’s overall performance.
Financial Highlights
NCL Industries’ net profit increased dramatically to Rs 19.90 crore, compared to Rs 2.51 crore the previous quarter. Total sales rose 4.44% to Rs 345.05 crore. The company’s stock price decreased by 0.67% to Rs 208.65 on the BSE.
Ultimately, NCL Industries’ success hinges on the continued strong performance of its cement business.
