Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Share Price Analyzed

The stock of Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works (KMEW) jumped significantly on Monday, hitting a record high of ₹3,221. This represents a 6% increase. Investors are paying attention to this rise, especially considering the broader market was experiencing a downturn.

Key Points

  • KMEW stock soared 6% to a record ₹3,221 on Monday.
  • The stock increased 14% in two trading days and 43% in two months.
  • A major contract with New Mangalore Port Authority drove the increase.
  • The contract is a five-year, ₹10.66 crore project for a security boat.
  • India’s port expansion and decarbonization goals are boosting KMEW’s prospects.
  • The market for green harbor vessels is estimated at ₹12,000 crore.

The KMEW stock’s rise is largely due to a significant new contract. On December 3, 2025, the company announced it won a deal from the New Mangalore Port Authority. This contract involves hiring a specialized River Sea Vessel (RSV) type IV Security Patrol Boat. The project is for five years and has a value of ₹10.66 crore, including taxes.

This contract is important because it shows KMEW is a growing company. They’re now providing services to five out of India’s twelve major ports. Government investments in ports and a push to reduce pollution in harbors are also helping the company’s growth. The market for ships that use clean energy to operate in harbors is growing fast.

Before this contract, KMEW also received a Letter of Award from Visakhapatnam Port Authority. This was for the operation, maintenance, and technical management of a Green Tug Transmission Programme (GTTP) vessel. This project is valued at ₹384.33 crore and will last for 15 years.

India is working hard to make its harbors cleaner and more environmentally friendly. A program called the GTTP is replacing older, diesel-powered tugboats with ships that use electricity or other fuels that don’t produce pollution. This is a big step towards protecting India’s oceans and coastal areas.

“KMEW’s strategic positioning aligns perfectly with India’s ambitious goals for a sustainable and modern maritime future.”
