Since 2014, India’s food production has grown significantly. Specifically, the amount of wheat, rice, maize, groundnut, and soybean produced has gone up by 40%. This is a really positive sign for the country.

A major part of this plan is the PM Dhan-Dhaanya Yojana. This program recognizes that not all areas in India are equally good at growing crops. Productivity can be different depending on where you are – one state might be great at growing peanuts, while another is better at wheat.
