Parliament’s Winter Session Analyzed: Key Changes Ahead

Major Bills Up for Consideration

Several critical bills will be debated and potentially passed during the session. The most notable include the Atomic Energy Bill, 2025, which aims to modernize the rules around India’s nuclear industry. The Higher Education Commission of India Bill intends to give universities more independence and a better way to ensure quality through a new accreditation process.

Another key bill is the National Highways (Amendment) Bill. This focuses on making it easier and fairer to buy land needed to build highways. The government also plans to introduce the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2025, with the goal of making the Companies Act and LLP Act simpler for businesses to understand and use.
