The contract involves a substantial investment of Rs 2,062.71 crore. The work will be managed over 42 months, which breaks down into six months for the initial planning, design, and demolition stages. Following that, 36 months will be dedicated to the actual construction of the upgraded medical facility.

Crucially, NCC will also handle the hospital’s operations and maintenance for five years. This means they’ll be responsible for keeping everything running smoothly after the building is finished.

NCC has assured the public that its promoters and related individuals have no connection to the department awarding the contract. This is important to ensure transparency and fairness in the project’s execution.

However, NCC’s financial performance has seen a decline. Their consolidated net profit fell by 5.1% to Rs 154.70 crore during Q2 FY26, compared to Rs 162.96 crore in Q2 FY25. Revenue also dropped by 12.6% to Rs 4,543.01 crore.

Despite the financial results, the stock price of NCC rose by 0.61% to Rs 173.30 on the BSE.
