However, Avantel’s financial results weren’t great. Their consolidated net profit dropped by a huge 81.39% compared to the previous year, falling to just Rs 4.26 crore. At the same time, their overall revenue fell by 28.42% to Rs 55.41 crore.
In contrast, Bharat Electronics (BEL) had a very successful quarter. Their consolidated net profit jumped 17.87% to Rs 1,287.77 crore. This rise was fueled by a 25.78% increase in their revenue, which reached Rs 5,792.09 crore.
The news impacted the stock market. Avantel’s shares dropped 2.76% to Rs 154.95, while Bharat Electronics’ shares decreased by 1.61% to Rs 416.20. This reflects investor concerns about Avantel’s performance.
