Meanwhile, the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) has announced its first list of 57 candidates. This list keeps many current leaders in place, including Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar from Nalanda and Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary from Sarairanjan. Key JD(U) leaders like Umesh Kushwaha are also running for office.
