Current Situation

Right now, the Chennai plant can make around 95 lakh tires each year. That means the factory is already running at full speed, using 80% of its ability to produce. This is a good sign – it shows people want CEAT’s tires!

The New Plan

To meet this growing demand, CEAT is adding a new section to the factory. This expansion will boost production by 35 lakh tires per year. This means the total capacity will go up to 130 lakh tires.

How It Will Be Paid For

Building this new section will cost about Rs 1,314 crore (that’s a lot of money!). CEAT will pay for it using money they’ve saved up (internal accruals) and by borrowing money from banks or other lenders (debt).
