One of JSW Steel’s factories, called Blast Furnace 3, was closed for a few months to make it bigger and better. This happened from the end of September 2025 and is scheduled to reopen by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026. Because of this, the company didn’t use its factories as much as it could in India during that time.

Here’s a breakdown of how much steel they made: Approximately 7.28 million tonnes of steel came from their Indian operations. Without the closed factory, they would have made about 7.66 million tonnes. However, with the factory closed, the total amount was reduced by 5%.

JSW Steel USA, which has a factory in Ohio, produced 0.2 million tonnes of steel, a similar amount to the previous quarter. Overall, JSW Steel produced 7.48 million tonnes of steel for the entire company.

When you add in the small amount of steel made during a test run (0.12 million tonnes), the total production goes up to 7.59 million tonnes. This represents a 6% increase compared to the same time last year.
