Installation Update

Aerolloy Technologies, a part of PTC Industries, has finished setting up a powerful furnace in Lucknow. This furnace uses a special technique called Plasma Arc Melting to make Titanium alloy. It’s designed to produce about 600 tonnes of these alloys each year.

Plasma Arc Melting is like a super-smart way of melting metal. It uses a strong electrical torch – called a plasma torch – to heat up the metal incredibly accurately. This makes sure the alloy is perfect in both quality and what it’s made of.

The team at the Strategic Manufacturing Technology Centre (SMTC) in Lucknow has completed all the work, including the electrical parts, the moving parts, and the control panels. Now, the furnace is ready to be tested to make sure everything works as planned before it officially starts making the alloys.

This new furnace is a big step for PTC Industries because it allows them to make more Titanium alloys, which are used in things like airplanes and medical equipment.

The successful furnace installation signifies significant advancements in metal production technology.
