Tata Power Solaroof Growth Analyzed
Tata Power Solaroof, part of Tata Power Renewable Energy, has quickly become a big player in rooftop solar. In just nine months, they’ve installed enough solar panels to power over 4 Gigawatts (GW) of homes and businesses across India. This is a huge success, showing that people and companies are trusting them to make clean energy happen.

They’ve added more than 1.7 million solar panels to homes and offices. This represents a massive jump – 345% more than they installed in the same time last year (around 38,500 panels). Now, they have over 3 million customers who are benefiting from rooftop and ground-mounted solar.
To really show how fast they’re growing, look at the last three months (October – December 2025). They put up a record 58,476 rooftop solar panels! That’s 242% more than they did in the same period last year, and they focused a lot on Uttar Pradesh, where they installed 30,857 panels.
Here’s a breakdown of where they’ve been working hard: Uttar Pradesh (128 MWp), Maharashtra (126 MWp), Gujarat (143 MWp), and Telangana (62 MWp) were key areas. Tata Power Solaroof is building a strong presence in many parts of India, helping people move to cleaner energy sources.
Maharashtra was the biggest driver of growth, with over 41,827 installations and 855.21 MWp of capacity. Gujarat followed closely with 31,624 installations and 525.81 MWp. Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and other states have also seen significant growth in solar installations.
