Tejas Networks’ BharatNet Contracts Analyzed

The new network will be built using special routers called TJ1400. These routers are made in India and have been used in other important networks before. The project is spread out across nine states and five areas that aren’t full states, like union territories.

Specifically, the TJ1400 routers will be used in places like Bihar, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur. They will also be set up in areas called Gram Panchayats, which are small groups of villages, and Blocks, which are smaller parts of a region.

The goal is to install over 50,000 of these routers. This means that about 57,000 Gram Panchayats and 2,000 Blocks across India will have a new, faster internet connection. It’s a big step towards closing the gap between city and country.
